Load Part from Symbol Library (P+ID)

P+ID Symbol > Process > Load part from symbol library

This option enables you to insert the graphic of an existing library symbol in the symbol currently being processed.

You can select the symbol in the way described for the Insert symbol from another symbol library function.

Existing 2-D parts can be added to the current symbol using options in the Insert menu item (see HiCAD 2-D).

If you create a symbol from loaded or created subordinate parts, they should be removed when the symbol graphic has been completed (but make sure that you ONLY remove the sub-parts!). You need to call the 2-D HiCAD function Break up active part, to access this function right-click the appropriate sub-part and then select Further 2-D functions and then Edit part structure from the context menu.
