The generation of the Bills of Materials (BOM) data takes place in HiCAD P+ID, independent of the BOM generators of other HiCAD industry modules. For the output of the BOMs you can use (as with the other industry modules) the HiCAD Report Manager.
Structure and content of a BOM are specified via a so-called BOM definition. A BOM definition is made up of two files: A BOM format file (file extension .SFM) and a BOM definition file (file extension .SDF). Both files are processed simultaneously with the New list definition function.
