Intelligent Cursor (P+ID)
Functions available for the identification of objects in the active drawing with the Intelligent Cursors are described in the HiCAD Basics chapter. These functions are adapted or enhanced when you process a sheet belonging to a P+ID:
- If you switch to the toolbar for graphic processing with 2-D functions and click an icon when working on a P+ID sheet, you are returned to a menu bar that offers P+ID functions.
- Right-click to display a pop-up menu on the cursor position, enabling you to easily access functions required for HiCAD P+IDs. The contents of the menu depend on the type of sheet currently loaded.
- The use of the cursor for object identification in P+IDs is confined to 2-D graphic processing. The cross-hairs used for P+ID functions are easily recognisable as they extend over the entire width and height of the drawing area.
When switching to a P+ID drawing, HiCAD automatically switches to the Object snap mode. The Element snap and Group snap options are unavailable.
