Functions and Menus (P+ID)

You activate a P+ID function by clicking on an icon in the appropriate tab. HiCAD prompts you, either via the dialogue bar or an input window, to specify further data required for the execution of the selected function. Such data, can, for example, be the identification of an element or the entering of a rotation angle. Only after entering all required data will the function be executed.

The P+ID module comprises three tabs which are selected via the Ribbon:

The tabs are in turn subdivided into function groups, some of which contain an Others pull-down menu with further functions. You activate the pull-down menu by clicking the arrow symbol.

Context-sensitive pop-up menus, also known as "Context menus"

If you place the cursor on an object of the P+ID project or of a symbol library (e.g. a symbol) and right-click the object, a so-called context menu appears under the cursor, containing a selection of functions which make sense for this particular object.
