Lettering (3-D SM)

3-D Standard > Standard Processings > Bore > Lettering

This function enables you to emboss any texts.

1. First, activate a sheet and a processing plane to be able to position the tool,
2. Then, choose the Lettering function.
3. Enter your text containing no more than 35 characters into the input field.
4. Then, choose whether you also want the lettering to be visible on the rear.

The rear of the sheet is determined by the position of the processing plane.

5. Specify the height of the characters in millimetres.

You can now fit the lettering individually or compile a group via the Grid menu that appears.

6. Select the Fitting grid and, if applicable, set the required parameters.
7. Use the point options to position the lettering.

The sheet is embossed. You can now fit the lettering a second time. Alternatively, you can use the right mouse button to activate a context menu before defining the new fitting position. The functions of this menu enable you, for example, to change the fitting direction. Use the middle mouse button to end the function.

You can also change the punched text via the feature log: Double-click the "Number punches" entry and change the text in the Text Editor.
