The Settings dialogue window normally appears each time you call one of the Further Tools or the Standard Processings (3-D Standard > Standard Processings> (e.g.) Bore/Thr.).
The following options are available:
Geometry, Level of detail |
You define the representation of the tools/processings here by activating/deactivating the relevant checkboxes. |
Bore depth |
Two methods are available for determining the bore depth: To next surface: The bore is generated to the next sheet of the part. Through: The bore runs completely through the active flanges of a Sheet Metal main part. Please note: The Through option is not possible for the insertion of Threads (3-D Standard > Standard Processings > Bore/Thr.). |
Reference plane for bore depth/Countersink depth |
This setting is not relevant to punching. When inserting a blind hole into, say, a thread, you can specify a reference plane for the bore depth. You can choose between the entry surface (of the existing thread) and the current processing plane. |
Fitting mode |
You define the plane for the fitting here. Prompt for processing plane: Before inserting a tool/processing, you are prompted to identify a processing plane. Active processing plane: The active processing plane is used. If no processing plane is active, fitting is performed perpendicular to the xy-plane of the active coordinate system. |
Suppress window |
If you do not want to show these settings any more, activate the checkbox. To display the window, activate the 3-D Standard tab and select the Standard Processings > Bore > Settings. |
