Attach Flange without Bend Zone (3-D SM)

There are two functions for adding flanges without a bend zone:

• Add flange without bend zone
• Add flange without bend zone, between 2 points

Flange, without bend zone

Sheet Metal > Attach > w/o BZone

You use this function to add flanges without a bend zone by identifying the connecting edge. The default clearance setting in the technology data creates an offset between the existing sheet parts and the new one.

You can use the New bend zone, with shortening of connecting sheet or New bend zone, with incisions on connecting sheet functions to subsequently insert a bending zone.

Flange without bend zone, between2 points

Sheet Metal > Attach > w/o BZone > Flange without bend zone, between 2 points

You use this function to attach flanges without a bend zone, with a width defined by means of two points. You define the height/length of the flange in the Technology data dialogue window. The default clearance setting in the technology data creates an offset between the existing sheet parts and the new one.

1. Identify the connecting edge.
2. Specify the two points for the width of the flange to be added.

After selecting the function, you can use the right mouse button to call and change the Technology data.

Attach Flange
