Frequently required parts can be drawn once, defined as symbols and assigned to a symbol table. These symbols can then be reused in any drawing with the aid of symbol technology – as used, for example, for standardized elements in wiring diagrams or flow charts.
If you want to insert symbols into the active drawing, you need to load the relevant symbol table.

Load symbol table |
You use this function to assign a symbol table to the current drawing. When symbols are inserted, HiCAD searches for them in the selected symbol table. Symbol tables are stored in the HiCAD subdirectory SYS. Select the desired symbol table. |

Unlink symbol table |
You use this function to remove the assignment of a symbol table to the current drawing. |
