Restore HiCAD GUI to Default

If you want to restore the complete HiCAD GUI to default, proceed as follows:

• End HiCAD.
• Start the Windows Registry Editor: Click the Start icon on the Windows task bar, enter regedit in the "Search programs and files" field and press Enter.
• Save a backup file of the HiCAD nnnn directory to Hkey_current_user \ Software \ ISD Software und Systeme and delete the directory.

• Close the Registry Editor.
• Open the Windows Explorer, (WINDOWS key + E) enter the directory %AppData%\ISD Software und Systeme\HiCAD nnnn\ in the address bar and press Enter . Delete the file Hi_nnnn_IDs.txt. nnnn stands for the respective HiCAD version, e.g. 2017.
• Re-start HiCAD.

The above steps also make sense if incorrect icons or text are displayed on the HiCAD toolbars or Ribbon tabs.

Please remember that after a restoring of the GUI to default, user-defined toolbars will be no longer available!
