Priority of Search Criteria (PE)

In the activated guideline mode, the priority of search criteria for part selection will be as follows (top = highest priority, bottom = lowest priority):

• Pipe class and nominal diameter assigned to the active pipeline,
• Pipe class from the pre-selection,
• All other attribute types from the pre-selection,
• If at least one attribute is set for a type in the selection set, all search criteria with a lower priority are ignored,,
• Conditions derived from a connection with a part
• Pipeline diameter assigned to a guideline

Exception:

If you want to insert a suitable part of the type Flange to a flange connection, irrespective of search criteria HiCAD always inserts a flange identical to the existing one.
