Extend Part Type Selection (PE)

Let us assume you want to add the new part type Dryer to the part type selection.

Proceed as follows:

Step 1:

• Select (or draw) an appropriate icon and copy its file (here: DRYER.ICO ) to the \hicad\makroanl\image folder.

Step 2:

• Insert a new row for the new part type in the anbtlken.dat file in the HiCAD SYS directory.As part code, specify a seven-digit number which must be unique and be composed as follows:
  9nm0001, 1 <= n <= 8 und 0 <= m <= 9 (here 9120001).
• Specify an appropriate name for the mask file to be generated at a later stage (here: sml_drier). The addition in the file would then look as follows:

[9110001] Pump[sml_pump]
[9120001] Dryer [sml_dryer]

• Start HELiOS .
• Select Tools -> Mask Editor -> Classification masks -> sml_behaelter.msk.
• Select File -> Save copy as ... to save the new mask file with the specified name (here: sml_dryer.msk).
• Now open the new file via File -> Open -> File… and selection from the list. If required, add further attributes to the mask and save again.
• Close the Mask Editor.

Step 3:

• In HELiOS, select Data > Find data -> Parts-> Classification.
• Right-click Plant Engineeering and select Insert new class.
• Fill in the dialogue box as follows (according to the example shown below):
• Class name: Dryer
• Mask name: sml_dryer
• Code: 912001
• If the input field for the Code does not appear, click Cancel. In the HiCAD SYS directory, rename the file dlgsmlklasseusr.msk to dlgsmlklasseusr_0.msk and copy the file dlgsmlklas-seusr_anl.msk to dlgsmlklasseusr.msk. Then try again.
• After this step you can end HELiOS.

Step 4:

• Start HiCAD.
• Insert a new row for the new part type (here: Dryer) in the kompbt_list2.dat file in the HiCAD subdirectory makroanl:

Step 5:

Insert the same new row in the file kompbtri_list2.dat as well. Now you can use the new part type for your new parts.
