Processing plane > Projection grid
You can use a so-called "projection grid" as a construction aid in the active processing plane. Corresponding grid settings then make it very easy for you to create contours the points of which lie on the grid points without additional value input.
If HiCAD requests a point specification while the projection grid is activated, you can directly apply the nearest grid point by freely typingthe cursor. The Autopilot is not allowed to display a snap point here. This enables you to quickly create objects like contours for extruded solids, bores etc., the points of which have "smooth" coordinates by always pressing the left mouse button near the relevant grid point. As an orientation aid, every tenth grid line is drawn more thickly.
If the projection grid is visible, the display of the grid is adjusted accordingly for view changes such as view switch, rotation, area change etc. or for changes of the active processing plane.
