3-D Standard > New > Extruded solid
Height Definition • Sketch for Cross-Section • Further Options • Buttons
Value input |
The height of the extruded solid is explicitly indicated by the values for the start and end heights. |
Start/End height |
These values define the distance of the base and top surface of the extruded solid from the sketch plane, thereby specifying its height. Negative value inputs cause the corresponding surface to lie in negative z-direction. |
Dynamic |
You move the cursor accordingly to determine the height of the part before it is fitted. Once the desired height has been reached, press the left mouse button. HiCAD then displays the height for you to correct. |
Both sides |
If this checkbox is active, half the height is marked off in the direction of the negative z-axis and half in the direction of the positive z-axis. |
Draught |
You can create extruded solids directly with form inclinations - so called draughts - by entering the angle of inclination. The last selected value is always the default value. |
New sketch |
Activate this icon to create a new sketch for the cross-section. Use the Sketch functions for the construction. The New extruded solid window remains active. |
Select sketch |
Activate this icon to apply a sketch in the drawing as a cross-section. Identify the sketch. |
Delete after creation |
The sketch used is normally assigned as a sub-part to the corresponding extruded solid. If you do not want to keep the sketch, activate the Delete sketch after creation checkbox. |
Activate this checkbox if you want the extruded solid to be referenced. |
Activate this checkbox if you want a feature of the generated extruded solid to be created. The part's entire creation process - including the sketch used - is then recorded in a feature log and can be subsequently changed. |
BOM-relevant | Activate this checkbox if you automatically want to assign this attribute to the created extruded part. | |
Article number |
Enter the name of the part to be inserted in the drawing. |
Preview Apply |
You can initially display a preview of the extruded solid by activating the Preview button. You can then correct the entered values or insert the part – as displayed – into the drawing by clicking Apply. |
Create |
Clicking the Create button inserts the part immediately. |
