Bores (2-D)

Bore, top view or side view

2-D Part > CAids > Bore, top view

2-D Part > CAids > Bore > Bore, side view

You use these functions to create an individual bore for a through hole with a centre cross, which you can insert multiple times into the active part, depending on the function you choose in the top view or in the side view.

  1. Specify the diameter of the bore (also the length for the side view).
  2. Select the angle of direction.
  3. Select the fitting point on the drawing.

Use the right mouse button to access the function selection and end the insert operation.

Bore pattern, top view

2-D Part > CAids > Bore pattern, top view

This function gives you a complete bore template with any series of vertical and horizontal bores.

  1. Specify the diameter of the bores and the quantity in horizontal and vertical direction.
  2. Define the spacings between the horizontal and vertical series and click OK to close the input.
  3. Choose the angle for the direction.
  4. Specify the fitting point on the drawing.

You can insert the bore pattern into the active part several times.

Use the right mouse button to access the function selection and end the insert operation.


Pitch circle of bores, top view

2-D Part > CAids > Pattern > Pitch circle of bores, top view

You can create a pitch circle with any number of bores.

  1. Specify the parameters for the pitch circle bores (see graphic).
  2. Close the input window with OK.
  3. Choose the angle for the direction.
  4. Specify the fitting point on the drawing.

Use the right mouse button to access the function selection and end the insert operation.

(1) Pitch circle diameter
(2) Bore diameter
(3) Angle for direction by entering 30°
(4) Fitting point in the drawing

To display the bores temporarily in the ICN, right-click the drawing name in the ICN. In the context menu which opens, choose the Auxiliary Parts On/Off function.
