Angle Dimensioning, Running Dimensions (2-D)

2-D Dimensioning + Text > Angle > Chain > Running dimension, via points

So-called "running dimensions" are chain dimensions with the same reference side and a common dimension arc. The first leg is at the same time also the reference leg.

  1. Identify the first two legs.
  2. Use one point to specify the position of the dimension arc and define the succeeding angles.

You can use line or point identification to specify the legs. All angles are assumed to have a common vertex.

The dimension figures are placed perpendicular to the dimension arc, i.e. in the direction of the second leg, at the end of the corresponding dimension arc.

(2) Second side identified using points

(4) Point for further leg
