Delete Graphical Element (2-D)

2-D Geometry > Change > Delete 

Use the options provided by the Delete menu in the Change function group of the 2-D Geometry tab to remove graphical elements, be they lines, circles, circular arcs, conic sections, chamfers, named points or isolated points, from the data structure. Texts, dimensionings and hatching elements are not considered at this point.

 

Function

Description

Once a line has been identified, it is immediately deleted.

Pull-down menu Delete

All graphical elements located completely in the rectangle are deleted.

This function deletes all graphical elements of a polyline.

In this function, you select lines via their attributes.

This new functions enables you to create a list of graphical elements by identifying them with the cursor. Identified elements will be marked permanently. Right-click to end element identification. An OK, YES/NO query will be displayed. Select YES to delete all elements.

In contrast to the Delete GE function, UNDO restores all deleted elements at once

You can delete points individually, in a rectangle, in the active part or in the drawing.

Select one fitting point to delete all fitting points in this part.

Identifying the fillet arc from the inside deletes it.

This function deletes all fillets of a polyline.

Identifying the chamfer from the inside deletes it.

Pull-down-menu Delete > Others

You use this function to delete graphical elements that are hardly visible on the screen. You can select the short graphical elements of the active part or of the entire drawing. This enables you to achieve a clean contour, which is required for hatchings, in particular. The line fragments can be created when trimming graphical elements or other correction functions.

Identical lines are deleted either from the active part or from the drawing.
