New Drawing with Database, with New Article Master (PDM in HiCAD)

This function enables you to create a new drawing with article master and document master. If you save a model drawing with article master to the HELiOS database, a Part - Drawing (Bauteil - Konstruktion) link will be created between the model drawing (document master) and the article master. However, you can also choose a different link for this process. The underlying link is determined in HiCAD variables.. These can be changed in the HELiOS Options of the HELiOS Desktop, at Database > HiCAD.

To create an article master, please proceed as follows:

1. Enter the data in the input mask.
2. If you want to classify the part, activate the Classification button.
3. Assign a class to the part by marking it and confirm with OK. The part will now receive an additional tab with the mask belonging to the selected class.
4. Save the entries with OK.

Please note:

• Please read the instructions given in the chapter Classification.
• Default settings for the values for part type and designation can be configured if required.
• If you have activated the Default HELiOS-HiCAD Configuration and opened a 3-D main part with article master in the drawing, you can directly take over the article master of the 3-D main part.
