Multi-Language Attribute Designations (Attribute Editor)

Designations of attributes can be created in several languages. Additional languages for attribute designations can be added at any time.

In the HELiOS Attribute Editor, call the Attribute Management mask for an object type, e.g. an Article.

For the attribute shown on the left side of the selection window, Name, Designation and some other properties are shown on the right side of the window.

1. Activate the attribute Comment.
2. Clicking next to Designation opens the Designation of attribute window for the management of different language versions of the attribute.

The attribute Comment exists in 5 languages by default.

3. Mark the second row and click Edit.

4. Enter the designation "Notes" for the term Comment and confirm with OK.

The change will then become visible in the list of language versions:

5. When you close the window with End, the change will also be visible in the overview of article attributes.

After a restart of the HELiOS Desktop, "Notes" instead of "Comment" will be displayed in each mask in which this attribute occurs.

The original, predefined value will be preserved in the system. After a new editing of the attribute designation, where the corresponding row ("Notes") will be cleared by marking the entry, pressing the DEL key and confirming with OK, the original entry "Comment" will be reappear.

In the same way, you can add further languages for the attribute designation. If you click New language, you will be shown an overview of languages in which an attribute designation can be created.

6. Mark a language in the list and click OK.
7. Enter a designation.

To remove added languages again, mark the designation and click Edit. Remove the designation from the input field and confirm with OK. The language will then be removed from the attribute designation.
