Parametrics

The HiCAD Constraint Manager (HCM) combines individual parts into complex assemblies (Assembly Modelling) by assigning constraints - dimension relations, logical connections or restrictions - and automatically re-adjusts them if there are changes to dimensions. Constraints are either automatically identified by HiCAD (AutoConstraints) or explicitly specified. You can use this technology to perform motion analyses in 3-D, including collision checks. Spatial movements can be controlled individually and are visualised in real time.

The HiCAD Constraint Manager can be subdivided into the following functional areas:

• 2-D Part Constraint Manager (HCM 2-D)
• 3-D Part Constraint Manager (HCM 3-D)
