If you select the Options function in the Configurations function group of the Tools tab, a
dialogue window will be displayed. The tabs of this dialogue window
enable you to make global settings:
In the List display area on the Start tab you can select the object type that you want to be displayed in the list overview of the HELiOS Desktop after program start.
In the Start Dialogue area you can select whether you want to call one of the ToDo list when starting the program.
The General tab enables you to select another language for attributes, provided that it has been created before.
Use Start project to select a project which is always active when HELiOS is started.
Thus you can, for instance, set a project which needs to be processed frequently. Long loading periods can thus be avoided, even if very many projects are saved in the database, as only the documents of the active project will be loaded.
Defaults are "de" (German) as the Specified language and "project-independent" as the Start project.
Use the Input tab to specify the procedure after creating a document or project.
Select the module first (project, document etc.), then activate the procedure:
The settings of the Result List refer to the search results for projects, documents, folders and parts.
As there are more than 10000 documents the search process may take several minutes. You can use the Reload result list in background function so that the search result will only display the first 12 documents. The remaining result list will be loaded in the background. Once the list is loaded, there will be no more delays.
If the Loading in Background option is not active, all documents will be loaded first (e.g. when sorting or rearranging). This procedure can block the computer for some time.
The Links tab enables you to specify settings for the Link specification function.
If you activate the Load search result list immediately checkbox, lists of all documents, respectively parts, will be shown in the mask of the Link specification function. Use these lists to select the parts, respectively documents, you want to link.
If you deactivate this function, these lists will not be shown, enabling you to create a targeted selection list via the search functions. This function is deactivated by default.
The HELiOS Desktop creates log files for error elimination. Specify the paths where you want to save these files.
The log file for error messages is Errlog.txt, and the log file for the serial input is SERIELLEEINGABE.PRT.
If you activate the Write log file checkbox in the Serial document input dialogue, you can set the path for this file here.
This tab enables you to set the print modes for two fields of application:
When printing drawings consisting of several sheet areas you can select individual sheets for printing by activating the Offer sheet selection option. The Print drawing as saved ignores this selection option and prints the current state of the HiCAD drawing.
Here you can show attributes of different objects with the same name in the same column if the checkboxes for folder elements and ... for lists with linked objects are activated. If the checkboxes are deactivated, two columns, "Document Designation" and "partDesignation" will be displayed.
The parameters for the Import and Export of files are saved in the system files hel_fileimport.ini and hel_fileexport.ini. In the Import/Export menu of both files you can find the Open button. If you click on this button, the appropriate file will be opened in a Text Editor.
Examples for configuration options can be found in the chapter Import/Export Documents.
