Girder Connection - DAST-IG (3-D SE)

Use the

• Girder connection acc. to DAST-IG, one-sided (308)
• Girder connection acc. to DAST-IG, double-sided (308)

to connect two or three beams through flexible angle connections. In contrast to the IW angle connections, however, no notches are applied here. The beams abut and are connected with each other with so-called straight angles.

This variant connects beams through a flexible angle connection. The connection is one-sided, i.e. two beams are connected. As these connections are made without any notches, they are also also called "connections with straight angles".

1. Identify the beam you want to connect.
2. Identify the target beam to which the connection is to be made.
3. The connection dialogue window is displayed.
   

The dialogue window 

Select the user-defined fitting or the fitting via DAST catalogue by clicking the appropriate tab at the top left of the dialogue window.

• If you choose the user-defined connection, select the required configuration from the list box.
• If you choose a DAST-table, select the required, predefined connection.

4. The input fields contain pre-set values depending on the selected configuration, resp. the selected connection. You can modify these values if required. Please note however that the editing of the fields depends on the respective type indicator!
5. Click OK to create the connection according to the current data.

Please note:

• A maximum of 2 horizontal bolts is permissible for the bolting on the first beam (distances e1 and e2). wt is the bolt distance on the second beam.
  

• The angle connection is assigned to the assembly of the connected beam.

This variant connects beams with a flexible angle connection. The connection is two-sided, i.e. two beams are connected to a third beam.

1. Identify the two beams you want to connect to the other beam.
2. Identify the target beam to which the connections are to be made.
3. The connection dialogue window is displayed. It is operated in the same way as the one for the Column connection acc. to DAST-IG, one-sided (308) function.
   

Select the user-defined fitting or the fitting via DAST catalogue by clicking the appropriate tab at the top left of the dialogue window.

• If you choose the user-defined connection, select the required configuration from the list box.
• If you choose a DAST-table, select the required, predefined connection.

4. The input fields contain pre-set values depending on the selected configuration, resp. the selected connection. You can modify these values if required. Please note however that the editing of the fields depends on the respective type indicator!
5. Click OK to create the connection according to the current data.

Please note: 

• A maximum of 2 horizontal bolts is permissible for the bolting on the first beam (distances e1 and e2). wt is the bolt distance on the beam to which the connection is made.
  

• The L-brackets (angles) and the boltings on the connected beams are assigned to the assemblies of these beams. The boltings on the beam to which the connection is made are assigned to the assembly of the first identified beam.
