The edge colour applies to the wireframe model, and not to the shaded model!In order to assign properties such as surface colour, edge colour, material, part attributes etc, to beams, profiles, accessories, or other steel engineering components, use the same functions as you would for other 3-D parts.
When assigning colours and materials please note the following:
The edge colour and surface colour of series beams, sketched beams and prototype beams can be linked to the material catalogue colours. In this case you can determine the edge colour and surface colour of a part automatically by the values specified in the columns COLOR (surface) and COLK (edges).In order to activate this setting, you need to set the parameter Surface colour from catalogue in the system file KNTPAR.DAT to 1 . Once you have assigned a material to a beam, the relevant colours of the material catalogue will be used automatically.
However, you can only assign material colours to series beams if in the system file STB_PARAMETER.DAT the parameter Solid colour of series beams from edge colour of figures is set to 0!
