Plant Construction ROHR2 Interface

This neutral interface can be used to transfer HiCAD plant construction files to ROHR2.

ROHR2 by SIGMA Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH is a program system for the static and dynamic analysis of complex pipeline systems and general bar structures.

All ROHR2 input data can be taken over automatically from HiCAD pipeline data with this new interface. They are, for example:

• Geometry data
• Diameter Dimensions
• Wall thickness
• Materials
• Bearing points and constraints
• Fittings and flanges
• Compensators
• Reductions
• Design and operation data.

If you want to integrate this optional interface in your 3-D Plant Construction toolbar, start the following batch file in the HiCAD EXE directory AnlRohr2Aktivieren.bat.

The following options are available:

• Start ROHR2 and create NTR file
• Export all pipelines

Please note:

The ROHR2 program is not included in HiCAD’s scope of delivery. If the program is installed on your PC, you need to set path and program name accordingly, e.g. E:\ROHR2\R2WIND.EXE in the HiCAD system file ROHR2PROGRAMME.DAT (SYS directory).

Start ROHR2 and create NTR file

The pipeline is exported as NTR file, and the program ROHR2 is stated subsequently.

1. Activate the Plant Engineering tab, and select Pipeline Tools > Start ROHR2 .
2. Identify the pipeline.
3. Select the path and enter the name of the NTR file. HiCAD displays the conversion log.
4. Close the conversion log. The created NTR file is opened in the program ROHR2.

If you only want to create the NTR file, click Only NTR file after selecting Start ROHR2 .

Export all pipelines

  Proceed as follows to export all pipelines of the current plant construction in one step:

1. Activate the Plant Engineering tab, and select Evaluation > Entire > Create ROHR2-NTR file .
2. Select the folder where you want to save the NTR file.
3. Confirm the shown name for every pipeline and enter the new name.

If all pipelines have been exported, the conversion log will be shown here.
