3D DXF/DWG
You have the following options to open or save 3-D DXF/DWG files:
-
>
Open >
Step, Iges ... , or
-
>
Save as...>
3-D formats (Step...). In the Save dialogue window, select Autocad (*.dxf) or Autocad (*.dwg) as file type.
(Alternatively, you can access these functions via the function groups New/Open and Save/Print on the Drawing tab.)
Please note:
- When you select Open, you should set the AutoCAD files (*.dxf, *.dwg) in the Files of type list box for the sake of a better overview.
- Specify via the corresponding checkboxes whether layers and colours should be transferred during the import or export.
- The Convert FFS to analytical surfaces checkbox on the top right of the import dialogue window is activated by default. If you do not want freeform surfaces to be converted, deactivate this checkbox.
- When you select the AutoOptimise option when loading, the Optimise part function will be performed immediately after import.
- A saving of the drawing as 3-D DXF approximation via Drawing > Save/Print >
Save as
> Further... >
3-D DXF (Approx.) (or
>
Save as > Further... >
3-D DXF (Approx.)) will only output a faceted representation, but no complete geometry data.
