Text Parameter Settings (P+ID)

This function enables you to set text parameter for graphic representation of dialogue. When you activate the function, the Symbol text parameters dialogue appears on the screen.

A listing of all dialogue types is shown on the left side of the box. The dialogue types used for the active symbol are indicated. You can now change text parameter values for individual dialogue types. First select the type to be processed from the list, and then click the Text parameters button on the right. Alternatively, you can set the default value for all types of dialogue.

The buttons to the right of the dialogue box have the following significance:

End	Closes the dialogue box.
Text parameters	You can set text parameter for all selected lines, i.e. for the appropriate dialogue text. The text parameter box used in HiCAD 2-D is displayed.
Select default parameter	Select this option to automatically set pre-defined default values for all lines in the list, i.e. text parameter for the corresponding dialogue text, including the text angle and reference point. These default values are automatically set when you initially start HiCAD.

You can also right-click on the dialogue type entries to open a context menu with the following functions:

Change parameters

Same effect as the Text parameters button.

Parameters to default values

Use this function to reset the text parameters of the selected dialogue type to default values.

Transfer parameters...

Use this function to transfer text parameters of a selected dialogue type to other dialogue types. A dialogue box with further selection options is displayed:

In the left list, tick the dialogue types to which you want to transfer the text parameters as the new default setting.
In the right list, tick the parameters you want to transfer.

Unticked parameters will remain unchanged. Use the button to select/deselect all list items in a selection box.

Confirm the selections with OK.

Select Cancel to discard the selections. In both cases you will be redirected to the Symbol text parameters dialogue box.
