Pipeline Tools (P+ID)

P+ID > Pipeline Symbol

The Pipeline Symbol function group function group on the P+ID tab provides various functions for the creation and processing of pipelines. For example, you can indicate the flow direction, assign pipe parts or create new pipeline symbols.

Functions		Description
	Edit pipeline symbol	To change pipeline symbol data, it is sufficient to select one of the associated pipe connections or one of the assigned pipe part symbols (e.g. valve).
Pull-down menu Edit
	Specify flow direction	Use this function to set or change the flow direction of a pipeline.
	Set flow direction arrow	Indicates the flow direction for a pipe connection in the P+ID by an arrow.
	Nominal diameter as text in Comment dialogue 1	If in the graphic of the pipe part symbol the text point for the first comment dialogue exists, the nominal diameter specification is assigned to it.
	Delete text in Comment dialogue 1	Use this function to delete the dialogue text of the first comment dialogue in the data masks of all pipe part symbols of a pipeline.
	Pipe part symbols: Assign, individually	Use this function to retroactively assign pipe connection segments and pipe part symbols to a pipeline symbol.
	Pipe part symbols: Assign, in rectangle	Use this function to retroactively assign pipe connection segments and pipe part symbols to a pipeline symbol. The identification takes place by drawing a rectangle around the required objects.
	New pipeline info symbol	Use this special symbol to insert pipeline codes for information purposes anywhere in the P+ID.
Pull-down menu InfoSym
	New pipeline symbol	Use this function to create - irrespective of created connections - a new pipeline symbol.
	Show pipeline	Identify a pipe connection or a pipe part symbol to highlight the pipeline designation and all symbols belonging to the pipeline.
	Remove part assignment to pipe part symbols	This function removes the part assignments to all pipe part symbols belonging to a pipeline.
