Total Columns

You can activate the summation mode by right-clicking on the column heading. A column summation is available for:

• 1st level

Sums up all visible BOM entries. (e.g. Mechanical Engineering-orientated weight detection, with assembly weight entry directly in the assembly);  Id:∑1

• All levels

Sums up the visible entries of all levels (e.g. Steel Engineering or Plant Engineering-orientated weight detection, without weight entries in the 'assemblies'); Id: ∑

• Assemblies

Visible entries for respective assemblies are summed up; Id: {∑}

Please note:

• Only visible cells will be summated.
• Column totals will not be considered for outputs to Excel.
• In the Structure List, the "Quantity" value output for an item must, according to DIN, be multiplied with the number of main assemblies, i.e. this also means that all fields multiplied with "Quantity" (e.g. total weight, surface) respect this convention.

The InitRepMan.dat file in the EXE directory of the Report Manager installation (new installation is identical to HiCAD installation) can be set to specify whether you want the "Quantity" of an item to respect HiCAD2 methodology or to be calculated according to DIN, i.e. multiplied with the quantity values of main assemblies.

Since version1205.0, "DIN" has been the default setting for calculation.
