Simulation via Dimensional Change (Procedure)
3-D Standard > HCM > Simul.
> Via dimensional change
- Choose the constraint
to be changed by identifying the first and, if applicable, the second
geometry. The identification of the dimensioning is sufficient for distance
constraints.
- Specify the start
value and the end value. This defines the desired range of the dimension value. The start value can also be greater than
the end value if you want the value to range from
the top down.
- Enter the number
of steps.
- Choose between
the two simulation options:
- Execute
without interruption. You can use RET
to stop the simulation at any time, with the position then
being adopted. ESC aborts
the function, with the geometry being returned to its start position.
- Pause at each step. Use RET
to move the geometry on step by step. To apply the current position, click
END. ESC aborts the function, with
the geometry being returned to its start position.
As with the Simulate, Move function, you can also create
individual frames and videos of the simulation here.
Example:
In the HiCAD subdirectory HICAD/SZENEN/BEISPIELE you will find the 3-D drawing SCHERENHUBTISCH.SZA.
You can also perform the simulation via the feature log in the ICN: Activate the dimension figure at the lifting arm, or the corresponding assembly, right-click the Distance entry in the feature log and select Simulation, via dimensional change.
Enter 60. The table will be lifted according to the entered dimensional change.
This drawing is also well-suited for the performing of collision checks.
