To provide you with an optimum of user-friendliness when working with metal engineering facades, frequently used functions from other HiCAD modules (HiCAD 3-D, Steel Engineering,...) have been integrated in the toolbar of the Metal Engineering module. For a detailed description of these largely self-explanatory functions, please read the relevant chapters in the Online-Help.

Use the Part type function in the Metal Engineering, 3-D function group to create a part as main part via the catalogue.

Use the Glass (Insert glass (3-D SE) function to fit, via a simple mouse click, a glass or entire facades into beam frames of your HiCAD 3-D construction. LogiKal automatically calculates the glass insertion into the beam frame.

The Sketch (Glass from sketch)function enables you to derive a glass from an already existing 3-D Sketch in the drawing, e.g. if no closed frame is available. The exact procedure is described in the Steel Engineering Online Help module ("Glass Insertion" chapter).

In this function group you can also find the Lengthen, 2 points menu for the creation of stepped glass panes.
