Create Border Lip (3-D SM)

These functions give sheets a rounded edge:

• Create border lip
• Create border lip, between 2 points

Sheet Metal > Attach > Hinge > Create border lip

Create border lip

The rounding is performed over the entire length of the edge.

1. Set the inner diameter and the length of the lip.
2. Click OK to exit the dialogue window.
3. Then, identify the connecting edge.

Create border lip, between 2 points

The width of the fillet is determined by means of two points here. Additionally, you can insert a relief groove.

1. First, enter the dimensions for the relief groove, the inner diameter and the length of the lip.
2. Click OK to exit the dialogue window .
3. Identify the connecting edge, followed by the two points for the width of the flange.

The following example does not have a relief groove, as the value of the entered dimensions is 0.

(4) Second point

You can use the right mouse button to change the Technology data before identifying the connecting edge. Of the technology data, the fitting mode is taken into account.
