Function Group: New/Open

Drawing > New/Open

Use the commands of this function group to create new or open (load) existing HiCAD drawings - either with or without HELiOS (PDM).

Functions		Key
	New drawing Creates a new drawing.	CTRL+N
	New drawing with DB, without part master Creates a new DB drawing, without part master specification.
	New drawing with DB, with new part master Creates a new DB drawing, with specification of new part master data.
	New drawing with DB, assign part master Creates a new drawing to which an existing part master has been assigned.
	Load drawing  Opens an existing drawing.	CTRL+O
	Load drawing, via DB document master Opens a DB drawing, via specification of the document master.
	Load drawing, via DB part master Loads a database drawing, via specification of the part master.
	Others Activates a pull-down menu with further functions. e.g. for the import of other file formats.

Please note:

• The ISD-Button at the top left next to the QuickAccess toolbar provides direct access to the last opened HiCAD drawings. drawings. Here you will also find the standard functions for file management.
• You can also use the Drawings docking window to open drawings with preview display.
• You can also use the functions of the QuickAccess toolbar to create new or open existing drawings.
