Dimensioning and Text

You can find the dimensioning and text functions in the 2-D Dimensioning+Text and 3-D Dimensioning+Text tabs.

To dimension a part or add a text, proceed as follows:

1. Activate the required part.
2. Select the required dimensioning of text function.

Please note:

• Both dimensionings and texts are always assigned to the active part. This also applies if the dimensioned element does not belong to the part.
• To process an existing dimensioning or a text, place the mouse pointer on the relevant element and press the right mouse button. The processing functions are then displayed in a context menu.
• You can use drag and drop to move dimensionings and texts. To do this, left-click the object, hold down the left mouse button and move the mouse. The object then attaches to the cursor and you can place it at the desired position. You can also use the point options (RMB -> Point options menu).
• Double-clicking a dimensioning enables you to activate the Dimensioning, Settings function.
