Coordinate Systems (2-D)

You can access the functions for 2-D coordinate systems via Drawing > Others > World CS.

	Active 2-D CS, Activate World CS This function activates the standard world coordinate system. When a drawing is created, the following standard values are set for the coordinate system: Scale 1:1,unit of measurement mm,reference point (0,0),tolerance 0,01
	Active 2-D CS, Activate Local CS You can define a local coordinate system temporarily in a drawing. The local coordinate system remains active until you create a new coordinate system or switch to the world coordinate system. If, after a switch, you would like to use the local coordinate system again, choose this function.
	Local 2-D CS, Create new Definition of a new local coordinate system by identifying a point near the origin for the x-direction.
	Local 2-D CS, New origin Defining a new origin using a point option.
	Local 2-D CS, Move Changing the local coordinate system by moving it.
	Local 2-D CS, Rotate, absolute Rotating the local coordinate system about its origin.
	Local 2-D CS, Rotate, relative Rotating the local coordinate system about an arbitrary axis.

Please note:

A pure 2-D drawing, i.e. .SZA with no 3-D parts, allows you to define a local coordinate system. Once a 3-D part exists or is created, the 2-D coordinate system is switched to world coordinates, which means that you can no longer create a local 2-D coordinate system.
If a local 2-D coordinate system is active, the following holds:
Line information refers to the local origin, angle information to the local axes.
Rectangles are now drawn parallel to the local axes.
The auxiliary line angle for sketching refers to the local axes.
HiCAD variables are assigned in terms of the local coordinate system.
Calculations are performed in terms of the local coordinate system.
X, y distance information is output in terms of the local coordinate system.
Components are saved in the absolute coordinate system, i.e. rotated in relation to a local coordinate system in the drawing.
Components and symbols are loaded in the local coordinate system.
The macro command 'POINT A0' expects local coordinates.
