Hatching

When hatching cut surfaces that are created by means of sectional views, cut-outs and detail areas, HiCAD allows you to use the construction standard or to define the hatch pattern, the spacing and the angle of the hatching lines individually. Construction standard here refers to the following:

In drawings that were created using an older version than HiCAD 1205, the settings of the view are applied to pattern, spacing and angle of the section surfaces of a part.
As of version 1205, HiCAD knows the relevant hatch pattern for particular materials. If you have assigned one of these materials to a component (e.g. cast iron or aluminium alloy), the hatch pattern assigned to the material is used for the section surfaces.

The Hatching function allows you to shade all cut surfaces in one step, either

according to material catalogue , or
by means of parallel lines ,

irrespective of view.

The cut surfaces are automatically adjusted once you have selected the desired option.
