Undo and Redo

Drawing > Undo, Redo

The Undo function reverses the last command. The Redo function can be used to restore the command that was previously reversed.

Both functions can be accessed via Drawing > Delete.

Please note:

If you want to temporarily switch off the Undo function in 3-D, select Drawing > Others > Extras > Temporary settings >3-D Undo ON/OFF .
In 3-D, you can chose between drawing- and part-related undo. "Part-related" is the default setting. You can change the setting in the file ALG3DPAR.DAT in the HiCAD SYS directory.
The maximum number of 2-D undo steps can be changed in the file ALGPAR.DAT in the HiCAD SYS directory. To do this, you need to change the line below accordingly:

The setting for the 2-D undo memory limit in the line

Maximum UNDO memory reservation for HiCAD 2-D memory (in MB)

in the file ALGPAR.DAT also influences the number of possible UNDO steps in 3-D. In 64Bit versions, the corresponding entry in the file will not be applied, but the permissible maximum value (maxINT) will always be used. In 32Bit versions, in contrast, the specified value will be applied.
