Drawing Properties

Drawing > Properties > Attr.

Every HiCAD drawing has certain properties, e.g. scale, unit of measurement, coordinate system, etc. To change these drawing properties, select the appropriate functions of the Properties menu, or choose the function from the context menu of the drawing (right-click pink dotted frame around drawing object):

Drawing

Sets the unit of measurement for the active drawing (default: mm).

Defines the number of decimal places to which displayed values and coordinates are to be rounded (default: 3).

Defines the number of decimal places for angle values to which displayed values and coordinates are to be rounded (default: 2).

Moves the screen plane by the value Z.

Defines the number of polygon points for 3-D quadrants. This is taken into account, for example, in polyhedral approximation and shading of 3-D models.

When performing a Hidden Line calculation HiCAD always performs a quick check for possible overlaps and collisions, and, if there are any, corrects them automatically. Use this function to perform a more thorough Hidden Line collision check. Please note however that a thorough collision check may affect the performance during Hidden Line calculation if it is applied to very large drawings.

Corrects colour differences at the polyhedral edges of curved surfaces (only important for the 3-D model ).

Hatching

Defines the standard for hatching section surfaces.

Show surface borders

Functions for visualising edges/surface boundaries in 3-D.

Symbol table

Load

Assigns a symbol table to the active drawing or removes the assignment.

You can also activate the context menu by right-clicking the drawing name in the ICN.
