Connecting parts automatically adopt the nominal diameter of the part to which they are attached.As described in the chapter Using Connection Type Attributes, you can assign connecting elements (e.g. Flanges) to a part, via the connection attributes in its database record.
If you place such a part on a guideline, the connecting parts will automatically be fitted to Connections 1 and Connections 2 of the part.
