Set / Remove Plant Engineering ID (PE)

Plant Engineering > Settings > Set Plant Engineering ID

In HiCAD, a drawing is identified as Plant Engineering construction in the data memory. When you insert a part using Plant Engineering functions, the ID is automatically created, you can however, create or delete it interactively.

The assignment of a Plant Engineering ID means that:

The "Plant Engineering" tab is displayed when you load a Plant Engineering drawing.
The "Plant Engineering" tab is automatically displayed when you identify a part with the cursor in a Plant Engineering drawing.

For links with a P+ID project the following applies:

Only 3-D drawings with Plant Engineering IDs can be linked to a P+ID project.
If a link to aP+ID project exists, the Plant Engineering ID cannot be removed.

To remove the ID again select Plant Engineering > Settings > Settings > Remove Plant Engineering ID function. If this is not possible because of a link to a P+ID, HiCAD issues an appropriate message.
