Database Extensions, Version 1601: Weld Gap (PE)

If no sub-class called Weld gap exists below the class Plant Engineering in your HELiOS database, you need to extend your database accordingly.

First check whether the class Weld gap exists. In HELiOS, select Data > Find data > Parts. Click the Classification button and open the Plant Engineering class in the class structure.

If the class Welp gap does not exist yet, please execute the following steps:

  1. In the HiCAD SYS subdirectory, rename the file dlgsmlklasseusr.msk to dlgsmlklasseusr_ori.msk. Create a copy of the file dlgsmlklasseusr_anl.msk and rename the copy to dlgsmlklasseusr.msk. (thus giving the classification mask an input field for the part type ID).
  2. Make sure that Database has been set as part data source (Parts from...) on the Part selection tab of the HiCAD Plant Engineering Settings:

  1. In HiCAD, select Part Data Tools > Variant AutoSync. Select the file DefaultWeldGap.vaa in the HiCAD subdirectory Plantparts\Parts3.
Variant AutoSync

Click Enter. The HELiOS part mask is displayed.

  1. Display the Class Structure tree by clicking the Classification button and right-click the Plant Engineering entry. Select the Insert new class function and enter the following data:
