Place Pipe Parts on Guidelines (PE)

In edge direction/opposite edge direction

Plant Engineering > New > Pipe parts > ... > in edge direction/opposite edge direction ,

  1. Select the guideline on which you want to place the part. The Local CS is aligned appropriately.
  2. Select the part from the Selection dialogue box that appears on your screen..
  3. First, select a reference point from the Reference Point menu, then pick Connection 1 or 2 or a point on the line between both points. The part hangs with the specified reference point on the cursor.
  4. Select an insertion point within the selected guideline. Use the right mouse button to select the origin of the local co-ordinate system as the insertion point.

HiCAD inserts the part on the specified position on the guideline (c-edge), and automatically divides the edge on the connection points of the superimposed part. The new edge, hidden by the part, is set on Layer 0.

  1. After insertion, the Rotation menu appears on your screen. Turn the part until it is in the required position. During the process, the selected guideline serves as the axis of rotation.
  2. Respond to the query (same part ...) with Yes, if you want to insert further parts on the originally selected guideline, or select Cancel to exit the option.
  3. You can now either select another guideline and insert a part, or press the MMB to exit the function.
