Activate/Deactivate Pipeline (PE)

Plant Engineering > Settings > Activate pipeline

This option enables you to specify which pipeline should be activated.

If a pipeline is already active, HiCAD highlights all associated parts and displays a dialogue box asking whether the correct pipeline was activated. The name shown in brackets in the dialogue box belongs to the appropriate pipeline (i.e. the name of the main body in the part structure of the pipeline).

If a pipeline is not active, you can either identify one with the cursor or press the right mouse button to call the selection menu. After pipeline selection, HiCAD displays a dialogue box asking you if you really want to activate the selected pipeline.

You have now the following options:

Cancel	The status remains unchanged. The active pipeline remains active, inactive pipelines remain inactive.
Yes	The displayed pipeline either remains active or is activated. HiCAD activates the main part of the pipeline.
No	If you select this option, HiCAD displays the prompt: (RMB = via list) Select pipeline

Clicking below the function opens a pull-down menu with the following functions:

Activation of a pipeline via selection from a pipeline list.

Select from list

Plant Engineering > Settings > Activ > Activate pipeline via list

Activate or deactivate any of the pipeline entries existing in the pipeline selection list..

If a pipeline is active, HiCAD highlights the relevant entry in the list. To select a pipeline mark the corresponding list entry.

The following options are available:

OK	This button activates the pipeline in the highlighted entry. You can activate a pipeline quickly by double-clicking the corresponding line. The parts of the pipeline are graphically indicated, the dialogue box described above is displayed with the query: Activate this pipeline? or Is the correct pipeline active?.
Cancel	The status remains unchanged. The active pipeline remains active, inactive pipelines remain inactive.
Deactivate	Click this button to deactivate all pipelines. HiCAD indicates this in the list. Click OK to confirm.
Details	Click this button to display the information window of the pipeline indicated in the highlighted line. HiCAD indicates parts belonging to the pipeline. Select OK to close the information window and return to the selection list.

Deactivate

Plant Engineering > Settings > Activ > Deactivate pipeline

Select this function to deactivate all pipelines.
