Create and Edit Sheet Areas (3-D)
In the sheet area the production drawings are displayed. Production drawings
can also be output on several sheets if you define several sheet areas.
Create a new sheet area
- In the ICN, right-click
the name of the active sheet area Sheetn.
- In the context
menu, choose the Sheet area, new function .
HiCAD automatically creates a new sheet area with the next free sheet
number.
- Right-click the
name of the new sheet area.
- Choose the New view function to define an initial
view for the sheet area. The customary view functions are then available
to you for processing.
Please note that the Sheet area, New function is only available if a sheet view is active. Therefore, activate a sheet
view beforehand or right-click the Sheetn entry and choose the Activate function.
Edit a sheet area
A sheet area is always the active sheet area. This is the sheet area
containing the currently active view. In the ICN, this view is displayed
in red.
To process a sheet area, you first need to activate it.
- Right-click the
relevant name.
- Choose the Activate
function. Alternatively, in the ICN you can
also simply click one of the views of the sheet area.
- Right-click the name of the active sheet area
to activate the context menu containing the processing functions.
- Sheet, Activate
Activates the selected sheet area.
- Sheet, Change number
Changes the sheet number.
- Sheet, Delete
Deletes the active sheet.
- Sheet, Arrange
Arranges the views of the active sheet area: First the standard views according to DIN, and then the other views.
- Sheet area, New
Defines a new sheet area.
- Sheet area, Update
Updates all views in the sheet areas in one step, e.g. after edits or
transformations in the drawing.
The context menu's other functions correspond to the functions of the Views tab.
