Annotations for Part Lists (3-D)

HiCAD offers the option to annotate part lists, i.e. a selection of several parts, in one step. To access these functions, select 3-D Dimensioning +Text > Text > Part annotations, with free text and leader line, and click to open a menu with further functions.

The part list can either be selected in the drawing or in the ICN: Press and hold down the CTRL key, and select the required parts with a left-click.

If you select one of the functions listed below, all selected parts are annotated in one step, namely as follows:

Item number

The annotation settings defined in the file POSNUMMERSTB.FTD are used.

Article No. + Item No..

The annotation settings defined in the file SACHNUMMER_POSNUMMER.FTD are used.

Select template

This function enables you to select a template file (.FTD) of your choice and use the annotation settings defined in this file. All parts of the part list will then automatically be annotated in one step. If individual parts of the part list were already annotated, HiCAD displays the following question:

Replace existing annotation tags?

If you select YES the existing annotations will be replaced.

Please note that this function will only can only be applied to templates in which a leader line has been defined. For other templates the function will have no effect.
