Part Variables (3-D)

3-D Standard > Properties > Others > Part variables

This function displays all variables assigned to the active part in a table . These "part variables" are, for example, assigned using feature technology, HCM 3-D, composite edge HCM or by changing a parametric dimension.

You can change the configuration of the variables directly in the table and also specify comments. The following options are available:

Change Value

Double left-clicking the value to be changed displays an input field in which you simply enter the new value. If you then place the cursor on a different line, the value is changed. Alternatively, to change a value, you can also activate the value input window by left-clicking the variable name twice. Enter the new value and click OK to exit the window. The changed values are marked by * in the variable table until you click OK to exit the table.

Change Comment

To assign a comment to a variable or to change a comment that has already been assigned, click the comment column twice in the relevant row and then enter the new comment in the input field.

Activate Context Menu

If you press the right mouse button in a table row, a context menu containing processing functions is displayed.

Delete variable: Deletes the variables marked in the table.
Add new variable: Adds a new variable. Enter the variable name and the initial value..
Copy variable: Copies the variables marked in the table to the clipboard.
Paste variable: Inserts the variables of the clipboard.
Cut variable: Copies the variables marked in the table to the clipboard and removes them from the table.
