Scale Sketch Elements (3-D)

Sketch > Transform > Scale....

Use this function to move, scale and rotate individual graphical elements of the active sketch in one step. The scaling is performed evenly in X- and Y-direction. Proceed as follows:

  1. Specify a fitting point on the element.
  2. Specify the new position of the fitting point.
  3. Enter the stretch factor.
  4. Enter the rotation angle.

Clicking opens a menu with further scaling functions:

Scale polyline, free

Moves a complete polyline of the active sketch by specifying a displacement vector.

Scale individual GE, X-Y

Moves, scales and rotates individual graphical elements. Different stretch factors in X- and Y-direction can be selected.

Creates a planar, affine representation of individual line elements by specifying three fitting point pairs. In the process, the geometry will be distorted in all directions.

Specify the three fitting point pairs one after another, i.e. specify the fitting point on the element first, then specify its new position in the drawing.

Scale polyline, 3 points

Creates a planar, affine representation of complete polylines of the active sketch.

Scale sketch, 3 points

Creates a planar, affine representation of the active sketch.

Scale c-edge

Scales the active 3-D sketch. Specify the fixed point, i.e. the point whose position is to remain unchanged. Then enter the scaling factors in X-, Y- and Z-direction.

* only for planar sketches, ** only for 3-D sketches

The Clone functions work in the same way as the same-named Transform functions. When using the Clone functions, you need to additionally specify the number of copies ("clones"), including the original.
