Divide Several Edges (3-D)

Sketch > Process > Trim... > C-Edge > Edges, Divide

Divide c-edge, All lines

Divides the lines of a composite edge into a specified number of segments. Curves will not be considered.

  • Identify the composite edge.
  • Enter the number of segments.

Divide c-edge, All curves

Divides all curves of a composite edge.

  • Identify the composite edge.
  • Enter the number of segments per quadrant (<0) or the number of segments per edge.
  • Select whether you want ellipses to be transformed into circular arcs and curves to be preserved during division or approximated through stretching.

Divide c-edge, All edges

Divides all edges of a composite edge - lines and curves.

  • Identify the composite edge.
  • Enter the number of segments per composite edge (<0) or the number of segments per edge.
  • Select whether you want ellipses to be transformed into circular arcs and curves to be preserved during division or approximated through stretching.
  • When entering a negative value, you can also choose whether you want the composite edge to be divided into lines equidistant due to the specified number of points or into equidistant lines of a certain length.

Connect 3-D c-edges

Combines two composite edges into one, new composite edge. Identify the two c-edges. You have the following options for the connection of the c-edges:

shortest connection
connect the end point of the first c-edge to the start point of the second c-edge
connect the end points
connect the start points
connect the start point of the first c-edge to the end point of the second c-edge

Divide 3-D c-edges

Divides a c-edge into two c-edges. Identify the c-edge in the vicinity of the corner where the division is to take place
