Settings for Boltings (3-D)

3-D Standard > Standard Parts > Bolting > Settings

Use this function to specify the settings for the fitting of boltings.

Geometry and Detailing

The options under Geometry and under Detailing determine the representation of the boltings.

Example

Effective length

There are three methods for determining the effective length of a bolting:

Fitting mode

Here, you specify the plane for the fitting.

Bolt assignment

You use these options to define the assignment of standard parts in the part structure.

If the standard part is a bolting, it is assigned to the part as the sub-part BOLTING, which you identified first during fitting. The sub-part BOLTING consists, in turn, of various sub-parts like bolts or flat washers (see also additional parts).

If individual standard parts are being fitted, this option is identical to Only active part.

If the standard part is a bolting, it is assigned to the active part as the sub-part BOLTING. The sub-part BOLTING consists, in turn, of various sub-parts like bolts or washers (see also additional parts).

Individual standard parts are assigned to the active part as sub-parts. The part name will be generated automatically by HiCAD, based on the chosen standard and the standard sizes.

The bolting or the individual standard part is inserted as a new main part or steel engineering main part. Naming is similar to the other options.

Auxiliary parts

Here, you can define how the auxiliary parts of a bolting, such as washers and nuts, are assigned within the part structure.

Production

Use these options to determine the production type. Possible options are:

Suppress window

The corresponding setting window is normally displayed each time a fitting function is called. If you do not want this to happen, activate the Suppress window checkbox. If you want to make subsequent changes to the settings, you will need to activate the relevant setting function explicitly.
