Set/Delete Symbols (3-D)

3-D Dimensioning + Text > Process > Edit... > Symbols

Use these functions to insert dimensioning symbols in a dimensioning text, or remove already existing symbols.

Alternatively, you can access these functions via the context menu for dimension figures (right-click dimension figure).

3-D Dimensioning + Text > Process > Edit... > Symbols > Set

Use these functions to insert symbols into dimensioning texts.

You can select whether you want to apply the function to individual dimensions, an entire dimensioning structure, or all dimensions within a defined selection rectangle.

The Symbols dialogue window will be displayed:

Select the desired symbol and specify the position of the symbol in the annotation. Specify in the Existing symbols area how to proceed with already existing symbols of a dimension.

Exit the dialogue window with OK. HiCAD prompts you (depending on the selected function) to identify the dimensions.

If no symbol (None) has been selected in the dialogue window, you can also use the functions to delete existing symbols

Delete symbols

3-D Dimensioning + Text > Process > Edit... > Symbols > Delete

Use these functions to remove existing symbols in dimension texts.

You can select whether you want to apply the function to individual dimensions, all dimensions of a dimension structure, or all dimensions within a defined selection rectangle.

Depending on the selected function, HiCAD will then prompt you to identify the dimension, the structure or define the selection rectangle.
