These functions enable you to close open composite edges, connect composite edges to one another, and divide (cut) composite edges.
Connects two composite edges to a new composite edge. Identify the two composite edges. The following options for connecting the composite edges are then made available: |
Shortest connection |
Connecting the end point of the first composite edge to the start point of the second composite edge |
Connecting end points |
Connecting start points |
Connecting the start point of the first composite edge to the end point of the second composite edge. |
If both composite edges belong to the active part, then the original composite edges are deleted. Otherwise, the new composite edge is assigned to the active part and the original composite edges preserved. |
Regroup Use this function to break up and regroup composite edges. The function serves the purpose of automatic connection of composite edges with identical end points. Normally the orientation of the composite edge is changes when this function is applied. Furthermore, the composite edges will be interrupted at "y" positions, i.e. at locations where more than two edges meet. For a targeted connection of two composite edges you can use the Connect c-edges function. |
Divide Divides a composite edge into two composite edges. Identify the composite edge near the corner at which the division is to be made. |
