Insert Part via Explorer (2-D)

Drawing > Insert Part > Insert part, via Explorer

You use this function to insert a part and its sub-parts into the drawing. You can load in the following formats:

• 2-D parts (FIG),
• 2-D HCM variants (DCF),
• 2-D design variants (VAR) and
• 2-D parameter variants (FIV).
• 3-D parts (KRA),
• 3-D parameter variants (KVR)
• 3-D feature variants (FEV).

1. Select the part you want.

The part to be inserted appears on the screen. If the part does not have fitting points, the insert mode selection appears.

2. Choose the insert mode, and place the fitting points required for it.
3. Confirm or change the name of the inserted part.
4. Right-click to end the function.

Parts that were assigned a part scale in another drawing are loaded in the main scale of the current drawing.
